Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a DevOps/SRE engineer to help manage high-availability cloud infrastructure for our SaaS products. You will participate in incident response, design and maintain deployment configurations, and continuously improve our operations using Terraform, Helm, and modern cloud tools.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Engineering, on-call coverage, and staying current with cutting-edge technologies.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of DevOps/SRE experience with high reliability focus.
• Design, deployment and maintenance of SQL DBs (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (Redis, Cassandra, Hadoop); Kafka preferred.
• Strong Linux troubleshooting and incident management.
• Cloud proficiency across Google Cloud Platform, AWS or similar; container orchestration with Kubernetes & Docker.
• Scripting in Python and Linux shell; Terraform for IaC.
• Security concepts and best practices; observability and incident response tooling experience.
• Excellent communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize cloud platforms to improve infrastructure.
• Participate in incident management to resolve service issues quickly.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with deployment configurations using Terraform and Helm.
• Evaluate new technologies and apply them to operations.
• Contribute to on-call rotations for production SaaS.
• Collaborate with Engineering to improve operability and reliability.
