Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Senior Specialist, Cloud Software Engineer in Melbourne, FL. You will lead design and delivery of cloud-based applications leveraging AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, ensuring scalable, secure services for mission-critical operations.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architectures, APIs, and deployment pipelines, applying DevOps practices and containerized workloads in Kubernetes environments. FAA clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree with 4+ years preferred.
• In lieu of a degree, 10 years of related experience.
• 5+ years Cloud Software Developer experience.
• 5+ years OOP in Java, C++, Python.
• 3 years JavaScript development with NodeJS or ReactJS.
• 3 years developing with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitLab.
• Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to obtain FAA public trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and integration of Cloud software apps in Agile.
• Develop cloud-based applications and configure deployment environments.
• Coordinate with teams and customers to review designs and estimates.
• Leverage DevOps to automate builds, tests and deployments.
• Provide operational support to meet high availability and SLAs.
• Design, deploy microservices in Kubernetes-based environments.
