Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist, Cloud Software Engineer in Melbourne, FL. This role focuses on leveraging AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud to deliver cloud-based solutions, with emphasis on scalable, highly available enterprise systems and containerized workloads.

The candidate will work with cross-functional teams to define requirements, architectures, APIs, and deployment strategies, while following best practices in software development and DevOps to ensure mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree with 4+ years; or 10+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience delivering cloud-based applications and services.
• Ability to obtain/maintain FAA public trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and integration of cloud software applications in an Agile environment.
• Develop cloud-based applications and configure deployment environments for end-to-end integration.
• Collaborate with team and customers to review designs, estimates, risks, assumptions, and limitations.
• Leverage DevOps to build and improve automated build, test, and deployment environments.
• Provide operational support to meet high availability and SLAs.
• Design, develop and deploy microservices in Kubernetes-based environments (e.g., EKS, OpenShift).
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) on containerized workloads and data storage.
