Job summary

Peraton seeks a Cloud Software Engineer in Laurel, MD to join an integrated product development team. You will design, develop, test, and deploy features for a service hosted on large-scale compute clusters and AWS infrastructure.

You will work with LLM/RAG, AWS architecture, IaC, Java for distributed systems, and CI/CD, balancing cost, performance, and resilience while guiding junior engineers and ensuring security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of software development/engineering experience including requirements analysis, development, testing and maintenance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required (or equivalent).
• Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and integrate capabilities for a service on large scale compute clusters and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Perform requirements analysis, software design, development, installation, integration and maintenance.
• Provide guidance to junior programmers/analysts and balance cost, capability, availability and resilience.
