Job summary

RealmOne seeks a Level 3 Cloud Software Engineer to drive design and development of scalable cloud analytics, services, and applications in Windows or UNIX/Linux environments. The role emphasizes big-data scalability, RESTful services, and distributed computing across multiple platforms and configurations.

The team supports data analytics, DevOps, and mission-critical engineering, with a strong focus on research, development, testing, and documentation of complex data models and interfaces.

Qualifications

• Within the last five (5) years, a minimum of two (2) years' experience programming with at least one of the languages: Java, C, and/or C++.
• Within the last five (5) years, a minimum of two (2) year experience with Map/Reduce and/or Hadoop, Hive, and/or Pig.
• Within the last 3 years, a minimum of two (2) year experience with Apache Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
• Within the last 10 years, experience with Open Source (NoSQL) products enabling massively parallel computation (e.g., Hbase, CloudBase/Accumulo, BigTable).
• Experience developing Restful services and distributed analytics.

Responsibilities

• Provide cloud software research, development, and engineering services including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, and sustainment.
• Develop automated analytic software, algorithms, and analytics for data insights.
• Design and develop applications in Windows or UNIX/Linux environments.
• Collaborate on UX using JavaScript and Ruby on Rails for web applications.
• Configure, tune, and test CLOUDBASE internals across configurations (>200 node clusters).
• Monitor compute clusters with tools like Nagios, Ganglia, and Hobbit.
• Document ontologies, data models, schemas, and APIs for data ecosystems.
