Job summary

Axon is seeking a Principal Security Operations Engineer to lead secure cloud-native infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms at scale. You will drive security architecture, automate controls, and partner with engineering to embed security across delivery pipelines.

You will design and operate security tooling, manage incidents, and raise the bar for platform security across Axon’s environments in the US and beyond.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in security engineering or related roles with leadership.
• Expert Kubernetes experience in large-scale environments.
• Strong AWS/Azure cloud security experience and automation.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive security strategy for cloud-native infra, Kubernetes focus.
• Lead architectural reviews and implement scalable security controls.
• Improve CI/CD security and incident response capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical standards across teams.
