Job summary

Axion is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and scale our cloud infrastructure. You will own the Kubernetes platform, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid development while ensuring reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

You’ll partner with engineering leadership to build foundational DevOps systems, operate in a fast-paced environment, and drive incident response and on-call readiness with a bias toward action.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services (Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub).
• Kubernetes cluster management, networking, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Terraform infrastructure-as-code—modular and production-grade.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling.
• Observability tooling (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Bias toward action in fast-paced environments with on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Axion's cloud infrastructure on GCP for high availability and security.
• Own and evolve Kubernetes-based orchestration and Terraform IaC practices.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for speed and reliability.
• Establish and maintain observability across the stack including logging, metrics, alerting, and tracing; lead incident response.
• Define and monitor SLOs/SLIs to drive reliability and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to security hardening, compliance posture, and cost optimization.
