Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud Cybersecurity Engineer to support accreditation and operation of a state-of-the-art technology stack under the DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP). The role focuses on centralizing OSINT tasks across Defense and IC enterprises, leveraging cloud, AI/ML, and cross-domain transfer systems for advanced data analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 12–15 years of related experience or Master's with 10–13 years.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT or IAM Level II or higher certification and ability to obtain PUA/elevated access.
• Hands-on Linux experience and Bash, Python, Perl or similar scripting.
• Experience with Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) and cloud-based enterprise services, preferably AWS.
• Experience RMF processes, authorization, and continuous monitoring.
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-37/800-53 and DoDI publications; STIG compliance.
• Experience with RMF/GRC platforms such as Xacta or eMASS.
• Experience with security tools for SIEM, SAST/DAST; secure CI/CD integration.
• Understanding cloud threats and secure Kubernetes platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assess system cybersecurity architecture and artifacts; provide feedback.
• Assess BOE results for RMF cybersecurity authorization needs.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments for cloud-based systems.
• Implement and manage security controls for containerized apps and cloud infra.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps to ensure secure coding and engineering practices.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and engineering tools.
• Develop automation scripts for STIG compliance and validation.
• Support IATT/ATO packages and change requests as needed.
• Stay current with cloud security threats and best practices.
