Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a security engineer to review architecture, automate security tasks, and implement controls across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will work with multiple teams to enhance security posture and support audits, while leveraging Kubernetes and container platforms in production.

The role requires 4+ years in security engineering, strong scripting skills (Python/Bash/Terraform), and experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and log management. Remote-friendly, US travel minimal.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in security engineering with a strong focus on infrastructure, application and cloud security.
• Hands-on experience securing Kubernetes (K8s) and container platforms in production.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Terraform or similar).
• Proven work experience in an Engineering discipline and building security systems in Cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Experience with security systems including firewalls, IDS/IPS, anti-virus, authentication systems, log management and network monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Review system design and implementations to assess security posture and advise architecture.
• Use scripts and internal tools to ensure full coverage of the security agent suite across the enterprise.
• Develop automation using Python and other programs to integrate various systems.
• Write documentation including policies and procedures for network, containers and cloud.
• Design and implement infrastructure security controls for servers, cloud environments and containers.
• Support customer and vendor audits and external-facing security requirements.
• Implement network protection and access control; provide education and security awareness.
