Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Security & Compliance Engineer for the Security Assurance Services team. You will lead design, deployment, and implementation of complex security and compliance solutions at scale on AWS.

You will build AI-enabled automation, custom security controls, and policy-as-code while guiding reviews, remediations, and risk engineering that span multiple teams and customer engagements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years identifying security issues and risk, with mitigation plans.
• 4+ years scripting, programming and security code review.
• Knowledge of two of Scala, Java, Python, C/C++, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Own design and architecture choices for security automation for regulated customers.
• Engineer AI-enabled automations and threat modeling.
• Build secure IaC modules for Landing Zones and Zero-Trust architectures.
• Lead deployment of AWS security controls and continuous compliance monitoring.
• Architect preventive, detective, and proactive controls with policy-code.
• Write and review scripts and IaC (Python, Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Rego).
• Lead POCs, define tests, gates, and go/no-go decisions.
