Job summary

AWS Security Assurance Services LLC is seeking a Senior Security & Compliance Engineer to lead design, deployment, and implementation of advanced AWS security and compliance solutions in Austin, TX. You will build security controls, automations, and policy-as-code to scale for highly regulated customers.

You will write code (Python, Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Rego), perform threat modeling, and drive risk mitigation across multiple teams, ensuring secure-by-design outcomes at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years identifying security issues and risks and developing mitigation plans.
• 4+ years scripting, programming, and security code review in common languages.
• Knowledge of Scala, Java, Python, C/C++, or Go.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math or STEM experience.
• 4+ years cloud architecture and solution implementation experience, or US government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own design and architecture of security automation for regulated customers.
• Engineer AI-enabled automations and threat modeling.
• Build secure-by-design IaC modules (Landing Zones, Control Tower customizations, Zero-Trust).
• Lead design, deployment, and remediation of AWS security controls and continuous compliance.
