Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and own AI-enabled solutions that automate security/compliance workflows at scale. You will mentor developers, write robust code, and lead architectural decisions for highly available microservices at Amazon scale.

You will contribute to agile processes, ensure continuous improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen AWS security and compliance capabilities globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
• 7+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement agentic AI-based solutions that automate complex workflows and improve efficiency of operations.
• Write high-quality code with thorough test coverage and mentor other developers.
• Engineer systems for 'Amazon Scale' with high reliability and scalability.
• Focus on continuous resiliency and capacity planning in distributed microservices.
• Collaborate with peers and technical leaders to improve security and compliance systems.
• Work on Agile projects with high visibility and drive improvements across processes.
• Own and operate systems using real-time customer data and strict SLAs.
