Alvarez & Marsal in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Associate for Cloud Security Architecture to help clients design, secure, and govern cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will translate complex findings into pragmatic roadmaps, mentoring junior team members and contributing to reusable assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4–7 years of relevant cloud security experience.
• At least one active cloud certification (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Hands-on experience designing, securing, or assessing production workloads on one major cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud security architecture reviews and cloud configuration assessments across AWS, Azure, and GCP with industry benchmarks.
• Design and assess zero trust architectures and maturity, and develop phased adoption roadmaps.
• Lead security tools rationalization and consolidation reviews, mapping tooling to capabilities and risk.
• Evaluate IAM, network segmentation, data protection, key management, logging, and secrets management in multi‑cloud environments.
• Design target‑state cloud security architectures including secure landing zones and guardrails for cloud adoption.
• Review infrastructure‑as‑code and CI/CD pipelines for security gaps and DevSecOps improvements.
• Map cloud controls to compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI‑DSS) and advise on governance and risk requirements.
• Support cloud‑related incident response and resilience efforts and translate findings into actionable roadmaps.
• Develop high‑quality deliverables and diagrams translating technical findings into business risk.
