Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is a leading global consulting firm delivering cyber risk and security architecture services. We seek a Senior Associate – Cloud Security Architecture to drive cloud security strategy across organizations and industries.

You will design and assess cloud security, translate findings into pragmatic roadmaps, and collaborate with CISOs, cloud engineers, and deal teams to protect client assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Active professional-level cloud certification required (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Hands-on experience designing, securing, or assessing workloads in major cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, networking, encryption, logging, and shared-responsibility models.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and DevSecOps tooling.
• Familiarity with controls frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, HIPAA, PCI DSS) and GRC.
• Ability to articulate architecture decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel as needed and work across client environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud security architecture reviews across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Design zero-trust architectures and phased adoption roadmaps.
• Lead security tools rationalization and consolidation reviews.
• Assess IAM, networking, data protection, logging across multi-cloud environments.
• Develop target-state cloud security architectures including guardrails.
• Review IaC, CI/CD pipelines, containers and serverless for gaps.
• Map controls to compliance requirements (NIST, ISO, SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA).
• Support CSPM/CNAPP and cloud-detection initiatives; advise on tool choices.
