Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Senior Associate – Cloud Security Architecture to help clients design, assess, and strengthen cloud and hybrid security. You will collaborate with CISOs, cloud engineering and DevOps leaders to translate findings into pragmatic roadmaps.

You'll work across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, applying industry frameworks and contributing to security architecture reviews, DevSecOps improvements, and M&A due diligence support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Cybersecurity or related field.
• At least one active cloud certification (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Hands-on experience securing production workloads in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong communication and ability to translate technical findings to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud security reviews and configuration assessments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Design and implement zero trust architectures and maturity roadmaps.
• Lead security tools rationalization and consolidation to optimize architecture.
• Assess IAM, network segmentation, data protection, encryption, logging and secrets management across multi-cloud environments.
• Design target-state cloud security architectures with secure landing zones and guardrails.
• Review infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines to identify security gaps and improve DevSecOps.
• Map cloud controls to compliance frameworks and advise on governance, risk, and compliance (GRC).
• Evaluate CSPM/CNAPP, cloud workload protection, and security tooling; advise on tool selection and implementation.
• Assess AI/ML security workloads and architecture, including model access control and data pipelines.
• Support cloud-related incident response, resilience, and M&A due diligence; develop actionable roadmaps.
• Develop high-quality deliverables and mentor junior team members.
