Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector seeks a Cloud Security Architect - Level 3/4 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA. The role focuses on securing ground infrastructure, enabling cross-domain data flows, and meeting strict cyber requirements in a hybrid cloud/on-prem environment.

Requires active Secret clearance and experience across major cloud environments, NIST RMF/DoD STIGs, and automation via Python/PowerShell/Ansible. It offers a clear pathway for Level 3 or 4 based on experience.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelors
• 3 years of relevant experience with Masters
• 1 year of relevant experience with PhD
• an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Active Secret clearance required at the time of application
• Experience implementing or managing infrastructure in at least one major cloud environment (AWS GovCloud, AWS SC2S, Azure Government, or equivalent)
• Experience with cybersecurity best practices and frameworks (e.g., NIST RMF, DoD STIGs, security controls, vulnerability management)
• Experience supporting system security accreditation (e.g., ATO/IATT process), developing/maintaining POA&Ms, evidence, or SSPs
• Proficient in system/network automation or scripting tools (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery and accreditation of secure ground infrastructure
• Enable cross-domain data flows between clouds to meet mission needs
• Work in a complex cloud and on-prem hybrid environment
• Assist with ATO/IATT processes and SSPs
