Job summary

AngelList is seeking a hands-on security engineering leader to design and build the security foundations across AWS/GCP infrastructure, IAM, and automated safeguards. You will work closely with Infrastructure, Engineering, IT, and Product to implement secure defaults and guardrails that scale.

You will champion AI-enabled security automation to reduce human triage, report to the Head of Security, and collaborate with a small team on a large security scope.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on security engineering across cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS/GCP security architectures and IAM.
• Ability to build automation and internal tooling for security.
• Influence engineering teams to implement security changes.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and DevOps security controls.
• Experience applying AI to security automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own AngelList’s security foundations across cloud infrastructure and IAM.
• Design security architecture and guardrails in IaC and CI/CD.
• Build scalable IAM and least-privilege models.
• Develop security tooling that remediates autonomously using AI.
• Contribute to platform security through threat modeling and secure design.
