AngelList is hiring a hands-on security engineer to design and build systems that make security an automatic property of our infrastructure. You’ll own security foundations, IAM models, guardrails, and automation across AWS and CI/CD, collaborating with Infrastructure, Engineering, IT, and Product.

You’ll drive AI-enabled security tooling, look for systemic weaknesses, and influence engineering teams to adopt secure practices at scale. Strong preference for SF/NYC locations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security engineering or related fields with hands-on AWS/GCP architecture.
• Ability to build automation and internal tooling to solve security problems.
• Proven track record influencing engineering teams to adopt security tooling.
• Fluency with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to think about systems and fix broad, systemic weaknesses.
• Experience applying AI to improve decision quality in security engineering.

Responsabilités

• Own security foundations across cloud infrastructure, IAM, and secrets management.
• Design and integrate guardrails into IaC, CI/CD, and developer workflows.
• Build scalable IAM models, access reviews, and privileged access mechanisms.
• Develop security tooling to detect weaknesses and automate remediation with AI.
• Address platform and architectural security risks and contribute to secure design.
