Job summary

AngelList, LLC is seeking a hands-on security engineer to design and build security into our infrastructure: a unified identity and access layer, cloud security, automated provisioning, and the guardrails that let teams move fast. You will collaborate with Infrastructure, Engineering, IT and Product to roll these systems out.

We want someone who sees AI as a way to improve security engineering, moving beyond triage to autonomous remediation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security engineering, cloud security, or identity with hands-on AWS/GCP experience.
• Write automation and internal tooling to solve security problems, not rely on products.
• Influenced security changes across teams via tooling and influence.
• Proficient in infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and DevOps security controls.
• Think in systems; fix root causes, not individual findings.
• Experience with AI-enhanced security solutions and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Own AngelList’s security foundations across AWS, IAM, and secrets management.
• Design guardrails for infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and developer workflows to make secure defaults automatic.
• Build scalable IAM and least-privilege models across employees, services, and machine identities.
• Develop security tooling and automation, leveraging AI to improve decision quality and remediation.
• Address platform- and architecture-level security risks and contribute to threat modeling and secure design.
