Job summary

Amentum in Olympia, WA seeks a Senior Cloud Security Architect to design, implement, and operate security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial/GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments. You will lead AI security patterns, threat modeling, and deployment automation with IaC.

Collaborate with risk, compliance, and platform teams to deliver secure, compliant cloud solutions for government and commercial workloads, while staying hands‑on with configuration and testing.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Typically eight or more years of relevant experience in cloud security engineering.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS security.
• Experience with AI/ML security controls and governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls and reusable patterns across MS 365, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services.
• Lead threat modeling and risk assessments for new services and high‑risk use cases.
• Develop IaC patterns and deployment automation for security policies and onboarding.
• Collaborate with security operations, vulnerability management, and platform owners.
• Ensure compliance with NIST, DFARS, and related government requirements.
