Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect to design, deploy, and maintain security controls across Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, including IaC, testing, and incident response for cloud and AI workloads.

You will lead threat modeling, implement reusable security patterns, and collaborate with risk, compliance, and operations teams to ensure secure adoption of AI capabilities across commercial and government cloud

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of relevant experience in cloud security engineering.
• Five+ years in cloud, security, systems, or infrastructure engineering with hands-on design/implementation.
• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls across Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services.
• Engineer security patterns for AI/ML, copilots, and agentic systems with secure access and data protection.
• Lead threat modeling and hands-on security testing for cloud and AI environments.
• Develop reusable IaC components and deployment automation for security policies and onboarding.
