ASAPP is seeking a Sr. Staff Cloud Security Engineer to design, test, and strengthen security for a complex cloud-native platform running primarily on AWS.

This high-impact, hands-on role pairs deep technical expertise with clear communication as you work with senior leaders, security engineers, and the broader engineering org. You’ll own security architecture across cloud, AI-aware threat modeling, and defensive engineering, while leading incident response and building scalable detection

Formación

• 8+ years of cloud security, application security, and security architecture in modern distributed environments.
• Experience building detection engineering and SIEM/SOAR pipelines.
• Proven incident response and threat hunting leadership.
• Hands-on Kubernetes security in production environments.
• Deep AWS experience and secure cloud-native stacks.
• Familiar with AI security threats and mitigations.

Responsabilidades

• Own cloud, application, and zero trust security architecture for AWS-based microservices.
• Threat-model AI-specific risks and implement mitigations for AI features.
• Build and scale detection engineering and monitoring pipelines across cloud and Kubernetes.
• Lead incident response, develop automated playbooks, and run tabletop exercises.
• Secure the SDLC with CI/CD automation, container security, and vulnerability management.
• Perform threat modeling and architecture reviews of distributed systems and data flows.
• Explain security controls to customers during technical deep-dives.
