Job summary

System One, Inc. seeks an AWS Cloud Security Architect to lead security architecture for enterprise AWS workloads, AI-enabled applications, and hybrid environments. You will collaborate with application and engineering teams to migrate workloads securely and establish guardrails and reference architectures.

The role emphasizes threat modeling, risk assessments, and alignment with NIST/FedRAMP/FIPS, while ensuring clear communication to stakeholders and strong governance across security controls.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience with significant cybersecurity and cloud security experience.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity architecture experience (InfoSec/Cloud/Infrastructure).
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS cloud security experience securing enterprise workloads and migrations.
• Strong knowledge of AWS security services, IAM, logging, monitoring, and data protection.
• Experience securing enterprise cloud and hybrid environments and performing security architecture reviews.
• Experience with threat modeling, risk assessments, control gap analysis, and remediation planning.
• Knowledge of NIST, FedRAMP, and FIPS.
• Experience defining security standards, patterns, guardrails, and technical security controls.
• Working knowledge of AI/GenAI security including prompt security and governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide security architecture guidance for AWS cloud environments, applications, APIs, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Partner with development teams to securely migrate workloads to AWS and other cloud platforms.
• Define and maintain cloud security patterns, guardrails, requirements, and reference architectures.
• Conduct security reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments for cloud-native and AI solutions.
• Define controls and remediation strategies for identified security gaps.
• Support secure AI/GenAI adoption, including governance, data protection, and monitoring.
• Support AI governance and risk management processes and incident escalation.
• Assess solutions against NIST, FedRAMP, and FIPS standards.
• Collaborate with security and operations teams on SIEM, network, and endpoint security.
• Communicate risks and requirements clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
