Job summary

System One, Inc. is seeking an AWS Cloud Security Architect to guide security for enterprise apps and AWS cloud environments.

You will collaborate with engineering to securely migrate workloads to AWS, define security patterns, and lead threat modeling and risk assessments. The role emphasizes strong communication of risks to technical and business stakeholders, with a focus on governance, AI security, and adherence to NIST/FIPS standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT with cybersecurity and cloud security focus.
• 5+ years cybersecurity architecture in relevant roles.
• 5+ years hands-on AWS cloud security experience.
• Strong knowledge of AWS security services, controls, IAM, logging and data protection.
• Experience with threat modeling, risk assessments, and remediation planning.
• Knowledge of NIST, FedRAMP, and FIPS frameworks.
• Experience defining security standards, patterns, guardrails, and controls.
• Hands-on knowledge of AI/GenAI security and prompt controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide security architecture guidance for AWS cloud environments and enterprise applications.
• Partner with teams to migrate workloads securely to AWS and other cloud platforms.
• Define cloud security patterns, guardrails, reference architectures, and implementation guidance.
• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and architecture reviews for cloud-native and hybrid solutions.
• Define security controls and remediation plans for identified gaps.
• Support secure AI/GenAI adoption, including governance, data protection, and prompts safety.
• Assist AI governance processes with monitoring, incident escalation, and lifecycle controls.
• Assess solutions against NIST, FedRAMP, and FIPS frameworks.
• Provide security guidance during technology evaluations and production path activities.
• Collaborate with security engineering teams on SIEM, network and endpoint security.
