Job summary

Rocket Money is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, SRE to lead reliability and operational evolution of our platform. You will join the Cloud Infrastructure team and partner with engineering to ensure we process billions of transactions at scale and remain highly available.

Responsibilities include defining SLIs/SLOs, owning disaster recovery, improving observability with Datadog, and building on-call processes. Proficiency in Python/Go/TypeScript, Terraform, and AWS is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on cloud or infrastructure engineering.
• Defined SLIs/SLOs for production services and discussed outcomes.
• Hands-on observability experience; Datadog preferred.
• Experience with production code for tooling and automation.
• Proficient in Terraform and AWS; diagnose production issues.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and drills.
• On-call experience and practical alerting decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve reliability and resiliency of systems and services.
• Establish SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets; review with owners.
• Own disaster recovery strategy including objectives and runbooks.
• Collaborate with product teams to own and operate services with metrics.
• Advance observability platform across metrics, tracing, logs.
• Strengthen incident response and postmortem actions.
• Contribute to day-to-day Cloud Infrastructure work and on-call rotation.
