Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Cloud Production Systems Engineer to join the Data Center Operations team. This role focuses on building and maintaining diagnostic and automation tooling to improve uptime and efficiency across a hyperscale cloud fleet.

You will lead data-driven initiatives, collaborate with global teams, and drive fleet health improvements through software and operational processes. Occasional travel to global sites is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in production systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or system software in large-scale clouds.
• Experience with hardware lifecycle management and fleet automation in data centers.
• Experience developing systems software or automation tooling for Linux-based production environments.
• Knowledge of production systems configuration and maintenance across servers, storage, networks, and messaging.
• Ability to document complex designs and align stakeholders across engineering and operations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and root cause systemic issues across the cloud server fleet to maximize uptime.
• Write and maintain code for diagnostic and cloud automation tooling.
• Develop diagnostic tooling requirements for frontline operations.
• Drive escalation for tooling and hardware issues affecting fleet health.
• Validate new cloud product integration into production environments.
• Collaborate with cloud tooling teams on roadmaps and operations perspective.
• Analyze data to prioritize cloud automation opportunities for repair workflows.
• Build cross-functional relationships to improve global data center efficiency.
• Mentor engineers in resolving cloud fleet issues and tooling improvements.
• Travel up to 25% to support global data center operations.
