Job summary

National Life Group seeks an experienced Senior Cloud Platform & Site Reliability Engineering Lead to partner with stakeholders on cloud platform design, engineering, and integration. You will drive CI/CD, SRE practices, and observability across Azure, with a focus on reliability and performance.

You will represent cloud engineering in initiatives, architecture design, and operational excellence while mentoring teams in a matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on with CI/CD pipelines, APM tools, source code management, infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering experience with at least 4 years in a technical leadership role.
• Experience leading in a highly matrixed, heavily outsourced organization through influence and partnership.
• Ability and interest in mentoring technical staff and raising collective technical competencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of cloud-native solutions within Microsoft Azure and other platforms.
• Drive CI/CD, SRE, and observability capabilities.
• Lead infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM, other).
• Serve as a subject matter expert in pipeline configuration and code repository management.
• Lead incident resolution and capacity, performance, and risk management.
• Communicate with stakeholders across engineering and business teams.
