Job summary

The World's Identity Company is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to lead reliability engineering within the Emerging Products Group. You will define strategy, steer platform maturity, and partner with Spera/ISPM to elevate reliability across multiple products.

You will mentor engineers, drive large-scale automation, and shape cloud infrastructure in AWS/GCP environments, ensuring security, scalability, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and operating large-scale production systems in AWS and/or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the reliability strategy for critical product and platform services.
• Establish standards for availability, resilience, observability, incident management, and operational readiness.
• Lead architecture reviews for critical services and platform initiatives.
• Partner with engineering leaders to align reliability objectives with business priorities and customer expectations.
• Create frameworks, standards, and guardrails that enable engineering teams to operate safely at scale.
• Drive major initiatives that improve platform maturity and long-term sustainability.
• Own reliability architecture and operational excellence for the Spera / ISPM product area.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to establish reliability objectives and roadmaps.
• Lead large-scale scalability, resiliency, and performance initiatives.
• Build self-service operational capabilities to improve productivity while strengthening reliability and security.
• Influence technical direction through data-driven recommendations and collaboration.
• Support highly available, large-scale cloud environments in on-call rotation.
• Design, build, and operate large-scale cloud infrastructure and production services.
• Develop software, automation, and infrastructure using Go, Python, Terraform and related technologies.
• Eliminate operational toil through automation and platform engineering.
• Improve deployment safety and workflows through GitOps and IaC.
• Collaborate on modernizing workloads with evolving platform capabilities.
• Lead complex engineering initiatives from conception through production rollout and ownership.
• Mentor staff and senior engineers across teams.
• Lead technical reviews and readiness assessments.
• Build consensus across teams with differing priorities.
• Help develop the next generation of technical leaders.
• Drive adoption of reliability best practices across the organization.
• Share tooling and patterns across teams.
• Influence direction through expertise and execution.
