Job summary

Bloomberg is seeking experienced engineers to design, build, and operate scalable public cloud platform capabilities in New York. You will develop self-service tools, APIs, and automation to improve developer experience and reliability, while partnering with security and infrastructure teams to ensure governance and efficiency.

The role emphasizes platform-wide improvements, cloud-native patterns, and cost-efficient operations across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Qualifications

• The role requires 4+ years of professional software or platform engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or C++ is expected.
• Experience with one or more public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and IaC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable public cloud platform capabilities.
• Develop self-service tooling, APIs, automation, and workflows for developers.
• Partner with security, SRE, and infrastructure teams to drive platform adoption.
• Contribute to architecture and long-term evolution of Bloomberg's cloud platforms.
• Apply IaC practices to automate platform operations and improve service quality.
