Job summary

General Motors Ventures is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer for the AV Cloud Engineering team. You will build internal platform capabilities, self-service workflows, and automation to enable AV workloads at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years coordinating across multiple teams, executives, and engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent work experience.
• Kubernetes production experience with major cloud ecosystems (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Strong Go or Python skills and ability to build reusable automation.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve internal platform capabilities, self-service workflows, APIs, and automation.
• Design abstractions for complex infrastructure for AV workloads.
• Improve platform primitives across traffic, service mesh, and connectivity.
• Reduce toil with reusable tooling, declarative automation, and observability.
• Own complex platform initiatives from problem definition to adoption.
• Collaborate with adjacent infra teams to reduce developer friction.
• Contribute to a healthy engineering culture with reviews and mentorship.
