We are hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Cloud Engineering team within AV Core Infrastructure. AV Cloud Engineering owns core IaaS and PaaS capabilities that support autonomous vehicle development and runtime environments.
This role is for an engineer who treats cloud infrastructure as a product and is motivated by building a reliable, easy-to-consume platform that helps AV engineers build, test, and run faster with less operational friction. You will work on the platform capabilities, abstractions, and self-service workflows that power AV workloads at scale. You should be comfortable turning broad infrastructure problems into durable engineering solutions and improving developer velocity through software, automation, and thoughtful platform design.
This role is best suited for engineers who want to build an internal platform product for other engineers. It is less suited to candidates whose background is primarily ticket‑driven infrastructure support or one‑off environment operations.
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Sunnyvale or Austin office three times per week, at minimum.
