Job summary

Wizards of the Coast in Renton, WA is seeking a Principal Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to define governance and automate cloud operations across the platform. You will set policy-as-code standards, drive cost controls, and ensure self-service, auditable infrastructure.

You will work hands-on and strategically, building tooling and guardrails so engineering teams can provision and operate securely and cost-effectively, while keeping delivery fast and compliant with company goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cloud engineering or platform engineering at staff level.
• Deep experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and multi-cloud capabilities.
• Hands-on IaC at scale using Terraform and/or Pulumi.
• Experience implementing policy-as-code and governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost management.

Responsibilities

• Define and enforce policy-as-code standards across cloud accounts.
• Establish guardrails using tools like AWS Config to prevent drift.
• Drive cost governance and showback within provisioning workflows.
• Develop reusable IaC modules and governance-compliant patterns.
• Collaborate with security, FinOps, and product engineering teams.
