Job summary

Wizards of the Coast, part of Hasbro, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Business Systems Engineering team in Renton, WA. The role leads design and development on AWS for the core product creation platform and drives AI-assisted delivery with high impact.

You will mentor teammates, uphold engineering standards, and collaborate with product owners to translate business needs into scalable software solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in a lead, staff, or senior+ capacity.
• Proven track record building and operating production-grade enterprise software.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET, Java, Go or comparable languages, AWS, Docker/ECS/EKS, CI/CD pipelines, REST APIs, event-driven systems, and relational database design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop services and applications on AWS that are core to our product creation platform.
• Influence engineering standards across the org, shaping design at application and service level.
• Advance AI-assisted development tooling and maintain quality gates for reliable delivery.
• Own technical decisions end-to-end and drive execution across partners.
• Translate business challenges into scalable software with product owners.
