Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer to help design and deliver deployment capabilities for a modern OCI developer platform. You will work on a greenfield platform at scale, shaping how developers build, validate, release, operate, and evolve services on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

You will own end-to-end delivery from design to operation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, security, and high performance in a cloud-native environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience delivering production distributed systems or developer tools.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C++, C#, Python, or similar.
• Experience designing APIs, data models, and service architectures with scalability and security in mind.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native systems: containers, orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure automation or release engineering.
• Demonstrated ownership from problem definition to launch and operation.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration across engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and operate core services and APIs for a modern application deployment platform on OCI.
• Deliver resilient, scalable deployment workflows for diverse environments and architectures.
• Partner with product managers, architects, security engineers, SREs, and developer teams to translate needs into designs and high-quality software.
• Build safety and reliability: isolation, policy enforcement, observability, rollback and recovery paths.
• Develop platform primitives enabling AI- and agent-assisted engineering workflows with proper controls and least-privilege access.
• Use operational signals and customer feedback to improve developer experience, performance, availability, and deployment success rates.
• Raise engineering quality through code reviews, design reviews, documentation, mentoring, and technical leadership.
