Job summary

Huxley in Boston is seeking a Senior Cloud/Platform Operations Engineer to manage production AWS and Kubernetes environments, focusing on reliability, cloud operations, incident response, and governance. This hands-on role requires deep technical expertise and collaboration with the platform team.

The hybrid role requires 3 days in the office per week. Base compensation ranges from $150k to $180k with a bonus, reflecting candidate experience and market conditions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience.
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes administration experience.
• Deep AWS experience (EKS, EC2, IAM, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Experience with Linux, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Background supporting production environments and resolving critical incidents.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support production AWS and Kubernetes environments.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and container issues.
• Perform platform upgrades, patching, scaling, and maintenance.
• Support incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call rotations.
• Implement AWS security, governance, and operational best practices.
• Improve monitoring, observability, automation, and platform reliability.
