Job summary

Specialist Staffing Group is seeking a Senior Cloud / Platform Operations Engineer to support and operate our AWS and Kubernetes environments. This hands-on role focuses on platform reliability, cloud operations, incident response, and infrastructure governance.

Hybrid in Boston, MA with 3 days per week in office. Compensation: $150k-$180k Base + Bonus. You will manage production AWS and Kubernetes, perform upgrades, incident RCA, and improve monitoring and automation to drive platform stability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on Kubernetes administration.
• Deep AWS experience (EKS, EC2, IAM, VPC).
• Experience with Linux, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD.
• Experience supporting production environments and incident resolution.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes administration experience
• Deep AWS experience (EKS, EC2, IAM, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, etc.)
• Experience with Linux, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines
• Background supporting production environments and resolving critical incidents
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• ArgoCD, Kyverno, and GitOps experience
• Container security and vulnerability management
• AWS or Kubernetes certifications (CKA, AWS Solutions Architect, SysOps)
• Experience in regulated or security-focused environments
