Job summary

USP, the U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention, seeks a Cloud Operations Senior Manager to lead AWS cloud services, data platforms, ETL workloads, and Acquia/Drupal environments.

You will guide architecture, drive reliability, and optimize security, cost, and performance for enterprise and customer-facing applications. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• 10+ years of AWS cloud experience with 4–5 years in a senior role.
• 5+ years of management experience leading technical teams.
• Proven AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional).

Responsibilities

• Lead AWS Cloud Operations – ensure availability, performance, security, scalability, resilience, and capacity management.
• Provide Cloud Architecture Leadership – guide architecture decisions for secure, cost-effective AWS deployments.
• Oversee Data Platforms & ETL Reliability – manage AWS data services and ETL pipelines for reliability.
• Oversee Acquia & Drupal Platform Operations – ensure stability and security of Acquia-hosted Drupal apps.
• Drive Reliability, Monitoring & Incident Management – implement observability, incident response, and RCAs.
• Advance Automation & DevOps Practices – promote IaC, CI/CD, and automation to reduce manual work.
• Ensure Security, Governance & Compliance – enforce security controls and governance with IT & security teams.
• Optimize Cloud Financial Management – drive cost transparency and optimization.
• Lead Service Management & Operational Excellence – ITIL-aligned processes and documentation.
• Develop High-Performing Teams & Partnerships – cultivate growth and stakeholder collaboration.
