Job summary

The role spans design, development, testing, and operations, with emphasis on secure, scalable software and continuous delivery. You will mentor peers and drive automation and resilience across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages (Java, JavaScript, React, Python).
• Experience with two or more of: web app development, databases, Unix/Linux, distributed systems, information retrieval, networking, large-scale software development, security software development, Kafka, Kubernetes, Microservices, Terraform.
• Proficiency in automation and CI/CD methods.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies (CI/CD, Application Resiliency, Security).
• Proficiency in cloud/technical disciplines (cloud, AI/ML, etc.).
• Deep knowledge of financial services IT systems.
• Cloud-native experience with cloud deployment (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions and technical troubleshooting beyond routine approaches.
• Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews others' code.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation to improve stability.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and teams on architecture and applicability.
• Leads communities of practice to promote new technologies.
• Contributes to a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
