Job summary

Google Cloud Platform team seeks an experienced Cloud Technical Solutions Engineer Manager, Networking (English) to lead advanced networking support and solution delivery for enterprise customers. Based in Sunnyvale or Austin, you will influence product deployment and mentor engineers while coordinating with engineering, sales, and customer teams.

You will own outcomes, manage complex customer issues, and ensure reliable 24/7 support across regions, communicating fluently in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 13 years of experience troubleshooting and advocating for customers needs, and triaging technical issues (e.g., networking, software, application, operational, process).
• Experience reading or debugging code with Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Perl, or JavaScript.
• Experience as a systems/network administrator, with Linux/Unix or operating systems, including TCP/IP, Routing, VPNs, VLANs, peering, load balancing, etc.
• Experience working with web technologies (HTTP, HTML, Javascript, etc.).
• Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer problems through diagnosis, resolution, and new investigation tools to increase productivity.
• Develop knowledge of Google's product technology and architectures by troubleshooting and building faster diagnosis tools.
• Act as a consultant and SME for internal stakeholders to resolve deployment obstacles and improve Google Cloud.
• Understand customer issues and advocate for their needs with cross-functional teams to improve the product.
• Work with a global team to ensure 24 hour customer support, including non-standard hours.
