Job summary

Florida Blue is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer to design and operate cloud network foundations, including multi-region DR and hybrid connectivity. The role covers VPC design, transit architecture, Direct Connect, DNS, and vendor connectivity across a hybrid AWS/Azure environment.

The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience with cloud networking, security policies, and infrastructure as code, delivering reliable, scalable network solutions during migration and coexistence with on-prem

Qualifications

• 8+ years in networking.
• 4+ years managing hybrid cloud/on-prem networks.
• Strong routing fundamentals (BGP).
• Hands-on AWS/Azure networking and hybrid connectivity.
• Firewall and network security policy experience.
• Experience supporting production cutovers and change control.
• Troubleshooting TCP/IP, DNS, load balancers, and routing.
• Colocation and carrier circuit design and management.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate VPC architecture across a multi-account AWS environment.
• Build and run hybrid connectivity, including Direct Connect and VPN.
• Design multi-region network model and DR failover testing.
• Manage colocation connectivity, circuit diversity, and provider management.
• Deliver network configurations via Terraform.
• Maintain topology docs and act as network incidents escalation.
