Job summary

Deckers Brands is seeking a Principal Cloud Network Engineer in Goleta, CA with remote flexibility. You will shape the enterprise networking strategy across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments, setting standards and governance, and driving automation and security.

You will lead architecture reviews, ensure resilience across AWS/Azure/OCI, and mentor engineers while pushing toward a cloud-first, high-performing network landscape.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in enterprise networking or related disciplines
• Experience defining enterprise networking strategy across cloud, hybrid and on-prem environments
• Skilled in designing scalable cloud network architectures and secure shared-services connectivity
• Strong governance and standards management for network design
• Experience with Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and policy-as-code
• Proven ability to lead architecture review boards and roadmaps
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE; AWS Advanced Networking, Cisco CCNP/CCNA preferred

Responsibilities

• Architect and champion the enterprise networking strategy.
• Set and enforce standards for network design, policies and guardrails.
• Lead enterprise-wide governance and architecture reviews.
• Ensure resilience across AWS, OCI, Azure and hybrid environments.
• Resolve high-impact connectivity challenges and incidents.
• Improve service continuity, observability and policy compliance.
• Define Infrastructure-as-Code, automation and self-service networking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive Zero Trust adoption.
• Inspire collaboration and continuous improvement across the network team.
