Job summary

Deckers Brands seeks a Principal Cloud Network Engineer in Goleta, CA (remote) to shape global connectivity across cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem environments. You will establish standards, governance, and scalable architectures enabling teams while protecting the enterprise.

The role requires 12+ years in enterprise networking, strong leadership, Terraform and CI/CD experience, and collaboration with security, cloud providers, and engineering partners.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in enterprise or cloud networking with principal accountability.
• Experience designing scalable cloud network architectures and VPC/subnet models.
• Strong governance, standards, and architecture review leadership.
• Experience with Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and policy-as-code.

Responsibilities

• Architect and champion the enterprise networking strategy for secure, scalable connectivity.
• Set and enforce gold standards for network design, policies, and guardrails.
• Lead enterprise-wide governance and architecture reviews across teams.
• Ensure resilience in AWS, OCI, Azure, and hybrid environments.
• Resolve high-impact connectivity challenges with technical leadership during incidents.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve observability and policy compliance.
• Define and deliver Infrastructure-as-Code and automation for self-service networking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive automation and governance.
