Job summary

Logging-in is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer to shape cloud strategy and deliver implementation-ready designs. You will lead the design of scalable, secure systems while staying close to code and infrastructure.

You will partner across Architecture, Security, DevOps, SRE, Data, and Applications to deliver well-architected solutions and guardrails. You’ll drive patterns, ADRs, prototypes, and reference implementations to ensure practical, operable designs and governance across cost,

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software/platform engineering with cloud architecture ownership at scale.
• Proven track record designing complex cloud systems end-to-end.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar IaC tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong fundamentals in IAM/OIDC, networking, security, reliability, and observability.
• Experience with ADRs, reference architectures, patterns, and well-architected reviews.
• Ability to communicate tradeoffs clearly to technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud solution design for complex initiatives (greenfield and modernization).
• Create implementation-ready designs: logical/physical architectures, IAM, networking, security, DR, and observability.
• Develop reference implementations (IaC, CI/CD templates, policy as code).
• Provide technical leadership during delivery: unblock teams and review design fidelity.
• Establish secure, governed cloud platforms with guardrails and automation.
• Champion reliability with SRE practices, observability standards, and runbooks.
• Mentor engineers and lead architecture reviews; drive cross-team alignment.
