Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation seeks a Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure networks spanning on‑premise data centers and classified cloud environments. You will work with SDN, Kubernetes‑driven networking, and hybrid cloud integrations to ensure robust, scalable connectivity.

You’ll collaborate with security, DevOps, and application teams, deploying IaC‑driven solutions and maintaining thorough documentation and runbooks for ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance
• 3+ years experience in the cloud networking domain
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent Certification or ability to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Design & Deploy Secure Networks across cloud and on‑premise resources
• Architect and configure restricted computer networks and secure inter‑domain routes
• Build and manage cloud networking infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
• Deploy and maintain SDN platforms and hardware‑based network appliances
• Integrate network services with Kubernetes using CNI plugins and container‑based networking
• Connect remote cloud instances to on‑premise data centers, ensuring routing and latency optimization
• Automate network provisioning and changes using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible)
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for network health and security events
• Work with security, DevOps, and application teams to define network access protocols
• Produce clear documentation, runbooks, and knowledge‑base articles
