Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc is building the next generation of intelligent network management software. You will design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native services powering Catalyst Center, using Kubernetes, Java, Go, and Python to deliver reliable, secure software across hybrid environments.

You will collaborate with engineers, PMs, and security teams to transform customer needs into features that improve performance, scalability, and resiliency, while adopting AI-assisted engineering practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field with 5+ years of professional software development.
• Experience developing cloud-native or distributed applications using Kubernetes and container technologies.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and working with Linux-based development environments.
• Experience using Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Build highly scalable cloud-native services powering Cisco Catalyst Center.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain distributed applications using Java, Go, and Python.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and security teams to deliver features and improve performance.
• Contribute to AI-assisted engineering and automation practices to improve velocity and quality.
