Cisco is seeking a hands-on senior engineer to design, develop, and operate scalable distributed storage services in a hybrid role based in San Jose. You will lead features end-to-end, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure secure, reliable production systems across cloud-native environments.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in backend services with Go/C++, and a track record of delivering containerized apps via CI/CD on Kubernetes, in on-prem or public cloud settings.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related experience; higher degrees count toward experience.
• 7 years of experience with production backend services and versioned APIs.
• 7 years of experience with distributed systems including replication, partitioning and fault recovery.
• 7 years delivering containerized services via CI/CD on Kubernetes in cloud or on‑prem.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and operate scalable distributed storage and key-value services.
• Lead features from design through production and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Develop production code with tests and secure coding practices.
• Contribute to service architecture and technical design decisions.
• Operate software in Kubernetes-based environments and monitor reliability.
