CVS Health in Salt Lake City is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of cloud-native, microservices-based solutions that power exceptional member experiences. You will architect scalable systems leveraging AWS, modern stacks, and event-driven architectures to deliver reliable digital experiences.

Collaborating with Digital, Data and Analytics, and Platform Engineering, you’ll mentor peers, set technical direction, translate business needs

Qualifications

7+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise digital solutions.
4+ years with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript, including asynchronous programming.
4+ years building cloud-based solutions, preferably AWS.
Experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices for scalability.
Proficient with RESTful APIs and Express.
Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL and Redis.
Familiar with AI technologies in software development.
Experience mentoring engineers and setting technical standards.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and implementation of cloud-native solutions.
Architect microservices with event-driven architecture.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Digital, Data and Analytics, and Platform Engineering.
Mentor engineers and review work to ensure quality.
Drive adoption of best practices and coding standards.
