Alkira, Inc. is seeking a Principal Security Engineer to shape security strategy across cloud, infrastructure, platform, and application layers. You will partner with engineering leadership to drive secure design and scalable practices in a cloud-native, Kubernetes-centric environment.

The role requires deep expertise in security architecture, threat modeling, incident response, and building automation in Go or Python, with a track record of influencing large technology organizations.

Qualifications

• >10+ years of cybersecurity/security engineering experience across cloud, infra, and application domains.
• >Deep expertise securing large-scale cloud-native environments and Kubernetes.
• >Experience leading security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments.
• >Proven ability to drive security initiatives and influence executives.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term security architecture and strategy across cloud, infra, platform, and operational security.
• Own the bug bounty program for Alkira, triage, severity assessment, and remediation coordination.
• Serve as technical authority for Kubernetes, container, Linux, and cloud security across engineering orgs.
• Lead security architecture reviews and establish standards for secure cloud-native systems.
• Drive enterprise-wide risk reduction through threat modeling, vulnerability management, and secure design.
