Job summary

Alkermes is seeking a Security Architect, Cloud & Emerging Technology to shape secure adoption of cloud services, AI platforms, and LLMs across the enterprise. You will partner with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Engineering and Data Science to set standards, implement guardrails, and review architecture with a focus on risk and compliance.

The role emphasizes deep technical work while explaining risks to business leaders.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in CS, IT or related field.
• 10+ years in IT or information security with 6+ years in security architecture/engineering.
• Experience evaluating AI/ML security and GenAI in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on AWS Cloud security including IAM, VPC, logging and security automation.
• Knowledge of SOX, HIPAA, CIS, ISO/IEC 42001, EU AI Act and related regs.

Responsibilities

• Lead security architecture for cloud, AI, and emerging tech initiatives.
• Incorporate security requirements into solution designs from inception.
• Conduct security architecture reviews for migrations and new platforms.
• Mature security roadmap for cloud platforms and AI technologies.
• Expand AI security guardrails for LLMs and AI tools.
• Validate AI opportunities and design secure end-to-end delivery pipelines.
• Review AI model usage and third-party AI components for risk.
• Configure SIEM and observability to detect guardrail breaches in real time.
• Advance DevSecOps maturity and reduce software supply chain risk.
• Evaluate findings from SAST/DAST/SCA and container scans.
