CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable healthcare technology on a cross‑functional team. You will architect Java microservices with Spring Boot, drive API strategy, and guide data migration across cloud platforms to enable secure clinical data exchange.

You will mentor engineers, own CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with product, security, and UX on cloud‑native solutions using GCP, Kafka, and OpenTelemetry in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• 7+ years developing Java/J2EE/Spring Boot RESTful services.
• 5+ years designing microservices architectures.
• 3+ years with Apache Kafka or similar event-streaming tech.
• 3+ years with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• 3+ years with Docker and Kubernetes.
• 2+ years working with public cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop high-performance microservices using Java, JEE, Spring Boot.
• Lead development of event-driven services with Apache Kafka.
• Own API strategy for RESTful services and governance.
• Mentor team members and contribute to engineering standards.
• Design and implement ETL/data migration initiatives for cloud transitions.
• Deploy and operate services on Google Cloud Platform with CI/CD automation.
